My Days on the Stage

The theater is where the seeds of storytelling were sown within me. My formative years at boarding school nourished my artistic spirit on the stage. Though my role has shifted from performer to filmmaker, the stage remains a defining chapter in my story. It's like the opening act in the grand play of my life, setting the stage for my cinematic adventure

If People Treated Other Illnesses Like They Treat Depression

This sketch, adapted from a video by AIB, a political comedy YouTube channel with 4 million subscribers, aimed to sensitize the audience about mental illnesses. It was performed at DPS R.K. Puram for an audience of 200+.

Ghalib in New Delhi

This iconic Hindi comedy play is about Mirza Ghalib, the great Indian poet of the 19th century, trying to find his way in current-day Delhi, his once hometown. I adapted the play to write, produce, direct, and act in 'Ghalib in New Delhi', a one-act play. The play won the Inter-House Hindi One-Act Play Competition. (Pictures from the original play)

John Brown

A play based on the anti-war poem 'John Brown' by Bob Dylan. The story creates a stark contrast between the fascination of war and its futility. The play stood second in the Inter-House English Play Competition.

Uncle Podger Hangs a Picture

Based on the short story 'Uncle Podger Hangs A Picture' by Jerome K. Jerome, this play was about a clumsy and arrogant man, Uncle Podger who ends up in a hot mess trying to hang a picture on the wall, taking his large family with him. The play stood first in the Inter-House English Comedy Play Competition.

Unity in Diversity

Through the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, this silent play depicted the significance of religious unity in India. The ensemble of performances the play was a part of won the Inter-House End of Term Cultural event.

A Day with R.D. Sharma

Putting himself at risk, a daredevil reporter visits the famous Maths textbook author R.D. Sharma, to discover that his life is not far from his Maths problems. Adapted from a sketch by TVF, a social comedy YouTube channel with 12 million subscribers, 75 watermelons to love hexagons, the play reminds everyone of their days in school.
