Apni Kothi

This photo story takes us to a kothi in Agra that has been a home for a joint family for half a decade. However, due to matters of convenience and safety, the family had to move out, and now the house is being transformed into something else.

As we approach the house, we can see that it is now a construction site. One half of the house is being broken down and rebuilt into something new. The other half still stands, bearing the marks of the past. We can see the windows, the doors, the walls, all of which have a story to tell.

As we step inside, we are greeted by a sense of nostalgia. The walls that once echoed with the sounds of greetings and the kitchen which always had the signature fragrance are now just empty shells. However, even in its current state, the house still holds a charm that is hard to ignore. Through the lens of the camera, we can capture the remnants of the past, from the old artifacts hanging on the walls to the garden that used to be the evening abode. We can see the details in the architecture, and the textures that make the house unique.

As we follow the family's journey through the house, we can see their attachment to it, the memories that flood their minds, and the stories that they share. We can feel the emotions that come with leaving behind a place that was once a home.
